We have been waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 for over 6 years now. During most of that time news has been coming out painfully slow. But now the release is not far off and information is coming out a lot faster! More news is leaking out every day so I have been collecting what we know here.
Update 12-21-2020: The game is out now and I have my Cyberpunk 2077 review posted.

Keanu Reevs in Cyberpunk 2077
At E3 2019 the new trailer shows Keanu Reeves as a character named Johnny Silverhand in the game. Then he comes out on stage to announce the release date of April 12, 2020.
I am not sure how I feel about Hollywood mixing in with my gaming. But out of all the actors, Keanu Reeves is a good choice. He seems to be the most down to earth and an all around nice guy.
Gameplay Demo
The first Cyberpunk gameplay video was released in 2018! 48 minutes of gameplay that gave us a closer look at the game th
Cyberpunk 2077 – E3 2018 Trailer
On June 10th, 2018 a new Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer was released at E3 2018.
Massive open world
In 2015 a Visual effects artist working on the game said that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be far bigger than the Witcher 3. There were also grant applications found that applied for funding to make a huge living city.
CD Projekt Red has also confirmed there will be multiple ways to do quest. I think we all expected that but it is nice that they confirmed it.
Larger Team
More people are working on Cyberpunk 2077 than there ever was working on Witcher 3. The last number I heard was around 400. This makes sense if the game is going to be so much bigger.
Multiplayer
The same grant applications also talk about seamless multiplayer. There is no other info on this except a statement from CD Project RED saying, “It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features.”
The online aspect has some fans worried they may be going down EA’s path of “games as a service”. Such as loot boxes and microtransactions. But CD Project RED said there will be no hidden catch and you will get what you pay for.
.@PrettyBadTweets Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 — huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for — no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.

Vehicles
CD Project RED put out a job ad looking for a vehicle gameplay programmer to “create the whole architecture of vehicle-related code and the physics of driving/flying in those vehicles.”
We have seen them driving cars on the road in trailers but we have not seen anyone driving a flying car yet.
We also have high-speed gun fights while driving.
Robot Pets
Based on the demo it looks like there will be some kind of robot pets. But there is not a lot of info on this yet.
Unique Weapons And Skills
We have seen abilities to bounce bullets off walls to hit enemies that are not in view. We also saw these cool mantis blades that were shown in the very first trailer. It looks like the player can even climb walls using them.
I am sure there are a lot more cool abilities we do not even know about yet!
Language
There was talk about having each character talk in their own language. Then have the player use an in-game translator implant to understand what the characters are saying.
That sounds like that could be a cool idea. I am curious to see what comes out of this.
Character Classes
There will be no main hero like The Witchers’ Geralt. But Cyberpunk 2077 will have character classes to choose from. At the CD Project RED group summer conference in 2012, It was said “Basically you will be able to play the character you want. You’ll be able to customize that character so that’s a big change from the Witcher games”.
Some of the classes from Cyberpunk 2020 included Rocker boys, Solos, Netrunners, Techies, Medias or Journalists, Cops, Corporates, Fixers, and Nomads.
Destructible Environments
A job ad from CD Project RED for an Environment Artist talks about “physicalized objects and destruction models”. Then in the demo, we saw lots of examples of environmental objects being destroyed during gunfights. Very cool!
Inspiration from other games
We have heard the team has taken inspiration from other games like Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines and Deus Ex. So if you like those games then there is a good chance you will like Cyberpunk 2077!
Release Date
UPDATE: The release date will be December 10 2020.
The game is already available for pre-order at the price of $59.00.
But you already know my opinion on preordering games. Unless there is some deep sell for preordering I will just buy it on the release date.

Ciri describes the Cyberpunk 2077 world
This sounds like it could be the Cyberpunk world anyway. Maybe this is a fun little easter egg. Maybe there will even be a Ciri easter egg in the Cyberpunk 2077 game.
