Cyberpunk 2077 Review

Cyberpunk 2077 has had a rocky start with lots of performance issues but for me it has been running fine. I don’t know if I had the magic hardware combo or what but I have not had any real performance issues. Only the occasional new game bugs.

Now that I have around 20 hours in the game I wanted to give you my thoughts. This Cyberpunk 2077 review will be spoiler free.

My Hardware

This is a PC review. So I guess the first thing you should know is what hardware I’m running the game on. You can find that here. https://www.sysjolt.com/2020/my-pc-build/

Now that you know that we can talk about my experience.

What I like about Cyberpunk 2077

The World

The game looks amazing. There are so many details in the world that it looks like a real living place. Even the way that trash is placed around the city makes this world look more alive.

The Story

I have not finished yet so this is subject to change but I really like the story so far. So much so that I have to fight myself not to search the internet for more info because I don’t want to spoil anything.

Customization

I love all the custom stuff you can do to your weapons and cyberware.

What I don’t like about Cyberpunk 2077

Driving

I don’t really like the handling on the vehicles. Maybe it’s just me but they seem to be harder to control then they should be. But I still use them because walking around is to slow and fast traveling causes you to miss things.

I would also like to see some kind of auto pilot. Then I could relax and look at the city while my vehicle takes me to my next location.

Crafting

The crafting system could be better in my opinion. I guess it’s not awful but it’s also not really enjoyable. The best part about crafting is exploiting the item cost to make lots of easy money.

To Much Adult Content

The game has lots of adult content. I knew there would be some but I was hoping it would be more in lines with The Witcher 3. Instead I see mature content everywhere I go. It’s even on advertisements on the streets. This is with the nude censor setting turned on.

There is also an obscene amount of bad language. I guess the NPCs of Night City think that bad language makes them cool so they add it in every chance they get?

In short I can’t play this game while my 6 year old is awake and in the house. That was not so for the Witcher 3.

No Hair Cuts

There is no way to change your hair or look after the game starts. That seems kind of odd for a world that is all about modifying your body with cyborg parts.

Cyberpunk 2077 Review and Performance

I also put some of my thoughts in a Cyberpunk 2077 review video.

Funny Cyberpunk Bugs

And some funny bug I found. I call it the stalker bug and crazy bike bug.

My Cyberpunk 2077 Review – Summary

Over all I like the game. I would enjoy it a lot more if I could play it without worrying what mature content will pop up on the screen or in audio. I was lucky not to have major performance issues. It also seems to be getting better with every patch. If you have not got the game yet I would suggest waiting a month or so for more bug fixes.

I agree with most of your points, this was the biggest dream game for me last year. I waited 7 years, and all it turned out to be a sheer diappointment, I wish they had put more effort like they did with the witcher 3
