We have been waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time. But not a lot of information has been released since the game was announced. Despite that, we have been able to find out a few things so I have gathered what we know so far into this list.
Update: The first Cyberpunk gameplay video has been released! 48 minutes of gameplay that gives us a closer look at the game then ever before.
Cyberpunk 2077 – E3 2018 Trailer
Update: on June 10th, 2018 a new Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer was released at E3.
Massive open world
In 2015 a Visual effects artist working on the game said that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be far bigger than the Witcher 3. There were also grant applications found that applied for funding to make a huge living city.
More people are working on Cyberpunk 2077 than there ever was working on Witcher 3. The last number I heard was around 400. This makes sense if the game is going to be so much bigger.
The same grant applications also talk about seamless multiplayer. There is no other info on this except a statement from CD Project RED saying, “It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features.”
The online aspect has some fans worried they may be going down EA’s path of “games as a service”. Such as loot boxes and microtransactions. But CD Project RED said there will be no hidden catch and you will get what you pay for.
.@PrettyBadTweets Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 — huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for — no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.

CD Project RED put out a job ad looking for a vehicle gameplay programmer to “create the whole architecture of vehicle-related code and the physics of driving/flying in those vehicles.”
So most likely we will have lots of fun flying cars to drive!
There was talk about having each character talk in their own language. Then have the player use an in-game translator implant to understand what the characters are saying.
There will be no main hero like The Witchers’ Geralt. But Cyberpunk 2077 will have character classes to choose from. At the CD Project RED group summer conference in 2012, It was said “Basically you will be able to play the character you want. You’ll be able to customize that character so that’s a big change from the Witcher games”.
Some of the classes from Cyberpunk 2020 included Rocker boys, Solos, Netrunners, Techies, Medias or Journalists, Cops, Corporates, Fixers, and Nomads.
Another job ad from CD Project RED for an Environment Artist talks about “physicalized objects and destruction models”. That could be a hint to a destructible environment but there is no official word on this yet.
Well at this point all we know is it should be before the year 2077. 🙂
Cyberpunk 2077 was first announced in 2012. Since then grant documents that have been found have the project being funded till June 2019. So the rumor is that the games development deadline is June 2019 and it will come out after that. There was also some talk about 2018 so if we are lucky maybe it will come out before 2019.

Ciri describes the Cyberpunk 2077 world
This sounds like it could be the Cyberpunk world anyway. Maybe this is a fun little easter egg. Maybe there will even be a Ciri easter egg in the Cyberpunk 2077 game.
If for some reason you still have not seen it then check out the teaser trailer below.
