Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo

I saw the demo leaked today and the Final Fantasy VII Remake looks real good! Better then I expected to tell the truth. I always thought they would end up messing it up or that the game would not live up to my memories of it.

I stopped keeping up with the Final Fantasy franchise sometime after FF10. I am not sure I can put it into words but it is like the games just kind of lost their magic to me. But I recently picked up Final Fantasy XV on the suggestion of some friends and I have fallen back in love!

So now after watching this demo, I am getting super excited about the remake!

3-4-2020 UPDATE: It seems an office demo has been released now. Looks like it is the same thing but this youtube video is of higher quality.

Things I noticed

The first thing I noticed is the interface, graphics, and playstyle look a lot like Final Fantasy XV. So I am assuming FF7 is built with a lot of the FF15 tech. I do not think this is a bad thing at all!

Combat seemed smooth and it looks like you can switch what party member you are controlling on the fly.

Possible Issues

I also noticed some things that bugged me. Like it looked like the player had a hard time getting on ladders and some times the targeting in combat got weird. I guess it could have just been the player we do not know for sure.

But Final Fantasy VII is not finished yet. So hopefully any problems like this will be fixed before it is released.

Another issue I have is that it is a PlayStation 4 exclusive until March 3, 2021. Ya I know that’s not really part of the demo but it still bugs me. I guess I’ll have to wait for a PC version.

What do you think?

Overall I am happy with the way the demo looks. I am starting to get excited about the game coming out.

Did you see anything you liked or did not like in the demo? Let me know in the comments below! I’d love to hear your thoughts!
